Jabba the Hutt Set from Return of the Jedi. Code-named "Williston". Jabba is basically the same as the figure from the 2019 Sail Barge. Dais is the same as the one included with Boba Fett's Throne Room, but with updated ROTJ deco. Includes an all-new Salacious B. Crumb figure on a mini card, an OG96 8D8 figure on card, armrest, soft goods pillows and rugs—as well as hookah pipe/aquarium, food and drink accessories.

It’s expensive but I’ll be ordering 2 of these. I am really excited to get a new Jabba to go with the palace. I guess I don’t really need it since I have every other version of Jabba but I’m a big Jabba collector so it’s a must have for me.

is salacious crumb a new sculpt? I’m thrilled to get an updated 8D8. This whole set is just really exciting.

It looks like he's a shrunk down Black Series version, I'm really looking forward to getting this as I missed the Barge and didn't get a shot at the big Rancor set, so third times the charm!

In for one of these for sure, to replace the walmart set in my jabba's palace dio, which will be upgraded by the fett throne room later this year.

If there is ever a sale, Ill probably grab another one as well to possibly swap out on my barge

Yes! This set appears to be more screen accurate with properly sized gargoyle heads and a longer backrest for Jabba. It even has the switch mechanism for the trap door. And with a new 8D8 included combined with Squidhead in the other multipack, this knocks out 2 of my final 5 wish list for updated figures. (The other 3 being EV-9D9, 2-1B, and Hammerhead.) (y)

This Jabba set is so sublime that it’ll be a worthy replacement for the 2010 SOTDS Jabba’s throne set. I like the paint details on this Jabba, especially on the eyes. In my opinion, the only things preventing this Jabba from being definitive are the lack of a removable tongue accessory and a bendable tail feature that’s functional. These are minor nitpicks, though, and I look forward to this set and everything included in it regardless. I also much prefer the cloth pillows over the hard plastic ones.

Those bastards. They did it. They really did it.

And they stick 8D8 in as the kicker. Guess we’ll never see Oola again.

This set looks great. Will Hasbro finally top the vintage Jabba set from 1983?

I don't know if they can top the Kenner dais, because those trap doors and the working dungeon (with sculpted skeletons, lizards, rats, etc) were just amazing and have never been replicated. I'd say this is a great looking modern set though - but I also think the last version with Oola was also fantastic, certainly not something to be discarded.

Even though my 2010 Jabba has avoided the slime and even though I have a Jabba snug aboard my Sail Barge, this whole set simply looks too good to pass up. It looks like the paint has been touched up on Jabba, and he really does looks better than ever. And what a dastardly move, to throw in a carded 8D8.

The pricetag is easy to complain about, but it's also what it costs to stay in this hobby in 2023, especially with such a well-done set from the OT.

Dang this seems like an overcharge! I know some of your are comfortable with this this. Yet it’s plastic and paint.
13 years ago, when this set last came out, albeit with Oola and not 8D8, it was $40, and a basic figure was $8. 20% of the price. Current price of a basic figure is $17 thats 19% of the $90 set.

Doesn't seem that far off. Inflation sucks, covid sucks, too much crap impacted prices in the past 3-4 years.

I remember when $10 was a hard line back in the day here for so many folks on TVC single figures, and now look where we are at, lol.

I might grab this one. I don't have a Jabba, so it seems like I *should* get it...

Confirmed; Crumb and 8D8 are carded. Stay to the end :)

I get that this is expensive, but as someone who only has an '83 Jabba and has the Throne Room playset coming...this is a must-have for me.

The video, besides adding to my hype, did confirm that the on-sale is actually 10am ET and not the more standard 10am PT/1pm ET. As a west-coast night owl that means...*looks at clock* damn, I gotta get to bed and set an alarm!

At first I was bracing myself for having to spend another $90 on another Jabba/Dias. But then I remembered I have the Shadows one. And the Bobas Palace does come with a dias. So I dont need to.

But thens there 8D8?..... And now we know Salacious is carded 😖 I need that!
EXACTLY!!! At least once you puta preorder in, it can be canceled later w/o $$ penalty of any sort

You speak sense.
However Im at the point with this collection where I decline far more than I ever have in the past. I used to be a 100% completist for OT, but now I dont get everything.
Since I've got a Jabba and Dias I wont be paying £90 for 2 figures, as much as Id like them.
If ever its clearanced in the future I might bite, but if not it wont worry me.

All those years ago, there were also far more kids and collectors buying into this line, which helped to keep prices down, when they could produce / sell more. That's why I'm surprised so many people think TVC is flourishing, because it's not a consumer-friendly product line, it's aimed at addicted adult collectors that are willing to shell out more and more each year. The collectors that didn't want to pay over $10 for a figure, were among gift givers, casual fans, and kids - I'm willing to bet most of them don't buy much TVC, if at all any products from this line now. Sadly, a lot of collectors ditched this brand because of prices, and now we've got more than ever waiting for sales because some feel they're being taken with artificially inflated prices. I could see maybe $60-70 for this set, but $90 is just greed driven.

So regarding the price.....
The Endor Bunker is $60 with one figure. So if we call that the Dais here, and the carded 8D8 as equivalent, then we get Jabba and a mini carded Salacious Crumb for $30. That doesnt sound bad at all considering Krrsantan by himself is $28.

It is nice to hear the figures are carded. It is a nice little bonus. And I am in for this set for sure, as the only Jabba I have is like 20+ years old.

The Endor Bunker is also a wide release. This is a single retail outlet (Pulse) exclusive.

In theory it's being made in smaller numbers and cost slightly more per unit to make.

5 minutes to go.
