Sometimes nature calls when you least expect it!!!Speaking of ring camera, I got a good one ofan Amazon delivery guy that I'd like to post but....rather gross.
I feel ya. For me personally, it's not about strangers judging me for one of my hobbies, since I don't care about the opinions of randos. It's about not wanting to telegraph just what kind of stuff might be inside my place. And really, whatever it is I order, it shouldn't be anybody else's business except mine, and the company I ordered it from.I don't like this practice either. Who are they advertising for? Carriers? Passersby seeing it on your porch? I have 5 large HasLabs coming in this fall and not looking forward to that.
I went through a sword collecting phase and that company did the same thing. My neighbors probably think I'm weird enough without seeing sword and toy boxes on my porch.
My dad used to do that when I was a kid. Don't know if he still does, and hope I never find out. The times I witnessed that were the only times I thought patricide might be justified. No .nothing "nature" about it. .he could've waited. He tossed pkge on to porch, he didn't step up to porch mind you. But then he turned his head, closed 1 nostril and force blew a huge projectile out out other nostril. You could see it flying through air and landing on a blade of grass. All on camera.
It discourages and you'll more easily find the thief. If it's that bad in your area I dunno I'd get a PO box and ensure you are home.a video doorbell wont stop anything being stolen. And, y'know, work eh?!
EXACTLY! A few months back a house across the street from me was purchased by a young couple. After they moved in they purchased a lot of high end electronics. I know because they put all of the boxes out on the curb several days before collection day. They were flattened but still completely intact & visible as to what they were. Our street sees quite a bit of traffic on top of that. I went over (having already introduced myself when they moved in) & told them they may want to break the boxes down further, or wait until the morning of collection to put them on the curb. Not because of recycling guidelines, but because they were basically telling anyone who might be looking what was in the house. They immediately put the boxes in their garage & thanked me because they never even thought about that. It's about not wanting to telegraph just what kind of stuff might be inside my place.
I can see the set really knocked your socks off.
Too late! I've already sent 20 pizzas to your house! Ha ha!Got mine!
*EDIT: Thanks guys, wasn't thinking in my excitement
I had earmarked a spot on a shelf that I thought was exactly 10" tall to accommodate this piece. Low and behold, it was 9.75" tall, so the whole shelf above it had to be vacated (included a few prequel vehicles) and now it's basically a puzzle trying to rearrange everyone in existing cabinets.Anyone else hold their palace set up to their existing diorama and go “uhhhhh…well this is going to be a problem…”
I’m going to have to totally revamp my diorama. I was expecting to do a little but yikes! I hope it ends up fitting without taking up too much space. I may have to extend the shelves somehow…
But still, it’s a beautiful set!!
