I love this figure. Before the carbonite Han figure came out, Bespin Han was the toy that you had to have to act out most of The Empire Strikes Back and all the Jabba's palace stuff in Return Of The Jedi.

I'm glad to see that the rumor that they were moving on to Return Of The Jedi after the ESB figures on the back of the Gamorrean Guard were done was wrong because this figure is mandatory. Hopefully, the Bespin Luke and Bespin Leia and even the removable limbs C-3PO and sensorscope R2-D2 are planned for the first half of 2015.

Glad to see yet another unexpected addition to the ESB lineup that wasn't featured on their cardbacks this year. And so begins their potential Bespin theme of figures now that they are mostly done with the Hoth theme. I bet Bespin Luke will finally go up for pre-order soon too, and then maybe Bespin Leia.

Quick question for the veterans here. If you pre-order something from Gentle Giant, do they charge your card at the time of pre-order or the time of shipment?

But how is it possible to deceive peoples like that ... shouldn't we expect to get the exact same product as advertised ?

Epic fail. That is horrendous and GG should be ashamed to even sell it. And how much are they charging for it?

Did he eat some peanuts and have an allergic reaction to them or something? Quick, get me an Epi-pen, maybe we can still save him!

Nope, DOA :(

That is just awful! Looking at this pic in the Rebelscum Star Wars Photo Archive you can clearly see that the scale of his pelvis is not the same as his legs. His holster straps don't line up at all! Why would they rescale it like that?? And is it me, or are his boots different colour to his pants?

Awful, just bloody awful!

Absolutely awful! I pre-ordered this from GG a year ago (it is probably my favorite vintage figure) but am now going to cancel my order. Someone fell asleep at the switch on this one...

Fell asleep? Nope as with all the other epic gentle Giant Star Wars Jumbo's failures this was also Approved by GG. They really think people will buy anything! If this was full of bubble bath and $1.00 at Walmart I'd still say Hell no!

This and Luke Bespin were two favs of mine too as a kid (probably because they were the first two figures of both of these characters that I got). I'm always looking for an excuse to buy another Jumbo figure because I'm such a sucker for 70's nostalgia. I was hoping that the Bespin Han was going to be a ball knocked out of the park given how poorly the Luke Bespin was received......but alas, as someone else has already commented here, he's proved to be yet another turd in a line littered with far too many poos already :(

All the people that are cancelling their orders should also e-mail GG and tell them why. I'm sure after they reveal the figure and see a small wave of cancellations, they'll figure it out but it can't hurt to hear from people too.

Han + Luke Bespin could have been great releases - what is GGLTD doing?

Why do their prototype resin versions look so much better? Not in terms of gloss, but overall. More care seems to be taken with those and not these final vinyl versions.
Surely it should be the opposite.

I've just been to the Princess Leia as Boushh page, to assess the head of Han Bespin behind her at SDCC 2014 - and it looks much better than the RS reviewed version.

I'm holding out for POTF Luke Stormy. It's doubtful they could make that head any worse than the original pea-sized pin head. We shall see.
So glad I have decided not to buy any more human jumbo's. Only a few creatures to pick up.

Hoth Luke + Leia were pretty good to be fair.
I hope they don't make Bib Fortuna's face into something bloated liked Han Bespin.

I just looked back at that SDCC picture and you are right- that version does look much better! Perhaps RS received a bum version?

I wanted at least one Empire Strikes back Han Solo in my collection. I went ahead and got Hoth Han since I was able to get him for cheap. I'm glad I did. Maybe Endor Han will look better.

Received processing email for this yesterday. We'll soon know about how the sculpt looks for real.
