I got a PGM email at midnight. Says it's a PG and bbts exclusive. I'm kind of getting out of the jumbo line , but this one is pretty cool !

Great looking sculpt. Better than the Hasbro version IMO. The helmet is definitely nicer.

Just saw the price jumped up to $79.99 from $69.99.

I thought I was seeing things! I looked at BBTS and then went to GG to see if they'd offer it with a discount or free shipping. When I saw they weren't doing either, went back and the price had changed. Still a better deal on the BBTS site with $4 shipping.

I can confirm the price went up $10. I preordered early this morning at the $69.99 price.

Ordered as well. I hope the price adjustment means that this is coming on a standard size card back and not a thin one like the Blue Vader.

I understand when figures come with a small blister like the Mcquarrie Vader but besides the oddity figures they should 100% come out with an art blister card.

This one came as a surprise, I'll be ordering one.

It isn't based on the hasbro "Kenner Retro" Mandalorian figure that was recently released if anyone was wondering. Sculpts are way different.

Maybe that's the Twitter complaints I'm seeing.
Why would GG/DS use a Hasbro design/rendering/sculpt? I mean they are different companies right? And what is Twitter mad about?

Oh, I needed that good laugh this morning 🤣

As for the Jumbo figure, I really didn't like the appearance of the Hasbro Retro one but this I like a lot. Might be to do with the cape which has some real thickness to and makes it sit properly on the figure. I'm not a fan of the giant blaster rifle which it can't hold properly, but that's vintage correct so will put it down to historical precedent. Would have been nice to also have the pistol though which it could hold but very rarely did vintage figures have multiple accessories.

With this and the Han Stormtrooper Jumbo I might need to sign up for PG membership. Looks like there's life left in this series after all.

So, fun fact - When Hasbro has reissued those first 2 SW Retro waves, they haven't scanned or molded actual Kenner SW Figures. They have had digital sculptors resculpt the figures. I know some of the people that have done it for Hasbro. It's possible that Hasbro had the GG group at Diamond or the GG Studios group sculpt their retro Mandalorian figures. Then it's just a matter of enlarging the print from the digital file and sending it to the factory.

Thanks. Good insight.

Glad I looked here today and saw the BBTS link. I love this figure!

I got the email from GG, but I'll never pay for their membership again because I usually ended up not liking the bonus gift or using all the points/discounts earned or offered.

Surprised we haven't seen an update like the cardback. It was scheduled for Q1...

Yeah, BBTS just keep pushing it month after month. Supply chain issues still I think.

Who knows at this point! I picked up Hasbro's Nomad Fett and Fennec wave in early December at my local Target. Even Hasbro's Bo Katan helmet is arriving in the US!
