My very first lightsaber, this prop was ordered around July of 1997, and I did not actually receive it until September of that same year. I learned later that Icons eventually was out of business. I can somewhat understand why if the delivery to others was as slow as what I experienced.
As for the prop itself, I was surprised how lightweight it is, but found the detailing sharp and impressive. It does not have the chrome-plated finish of the Master Replicas props, but it appears authentic from the limited images I have seen from "A New Hope" stills. The display is nice, but not as sharp as Master Replicas, with their hefty display base and mirrored floor.
